Review Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker

Finally, the saga has to be ended. I watched it on the first week of the screening (probably I want to experience watching with star wars fans :-)).

The first opening of the film is the continuation from previous star wars movie (the last jedi), Rey is being trained by Princess Leia and Kylo Ren still bringing the remaining “first order” to rise again. Kylo Ren working together with …….. (Palpatine). I don’t know how to feel about this. Why the Palpatine is still alive and working from the shadow ?

I think J.J Abrams wants to fix his mistake in his previous Star Wars. The first 30 minutes brings the battle between Rey and Kylo Ren, onward - backward plot. Kylo wants to take Rey to the dark side, Kylo is playing catch up with Rey who wants to kill palpatine.

Palpatine offers Kylo with an armada of Star Destroyer equipped with destructive capabilities of Death Stars in exchange to killed Rey. When Rey find the Sith Wayfinder in the unknown planet, She confronted by Kylo and Kylo reveals her true identity that she is a grand daughter of Palpatine!!!!

Before she can stop him, Kylo destroys the wayfinder. They then go toe-to-toe with their liightsabers. Princess Leia reaches out telepathically to her son Kylo and manages to awaken the good inside him. Oddly, Rey uses this tender moment to skewer him through the chest with her lightsaber.

Meanwhile, Princes Leia dies (For good). Rey uses her healing abilities to patch up Kylo injuries. She then hijacks his ship and flees to luke refuge planet where she intends to hide forever because her dark side abilities.

Meanwhile, Kylo is visited by his dad (Han Solo), who convinces him to return to the light and start calling him Ben again. Redeemed, he tosses his red lightsaber into the ocean.

The final confrontation, when Rey meets with his grand father (Palpatine), Rey confronts Palpatine. She aims to kill him, but that’s exactly what he wants.

Kylo then shows up, Rey and Kylo then battle with Palpatine together and get thoroughly thrashed. Kylo and Rey isn’t quite dead yet. Rey is uses her power to defeat Palpatine and Palpatine is destroyed once for all.

Kylo is dead in the hand of Rey and the resistance team is winning. In the end, Rey is bringing back Luke and Leia lightsaber to Luke house (I don’t remember the planet) and she became Rey Skywalker with yellow lightsaber.

Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker got me 8/10 points. I think it was decent movie but less on the plot. I think Star Wars is better in George Lucas Film rather than Disney. Yeah, Disney makes this movie a great ++ visual effect (I appreciate that!).
