Review buying a book in gramedia.com

First time buying a book in gramedia online store, I was really afraid, why on earth there is separate e-commerce to buy a book ? why gramedia doesn’t have dedicated official store in one of largest e-commerce platform in the country (such as Bukalapak, Tokopedia).

No Guest Checkout

When I click the buy button, and ready to checkout, I must login/register to the platform. Oh! why there is no guest checkout ? I don’t want to register, it’s too much hassle to me. If you want to buy a book, you must have gramedia account!. I think gramedia need to improve it’s buying experience, you must have guest checkout feature!!!!

The buying proccess is very clear and easy, I can check the status of my shipping, The UX experience is seamless, it automatically detect the money that you have transferred (if you pay using bank transfer).

I fall in love with the wizard bar on top in the order page. It’s beautiful and simple, it’s inform your order in step by step mode

Shipping courier

It was shocked me when I knew that gramedia has their own shipping/cargo company. they use their own shipping company to ship my books. and the information in their tracking website is also useful. It was the most knowledgeable information of my shipping. Look at it, people can easily understand what is says.

it’s different from the competitor who use different style of language that people cannot easily understand what it means (I’m looking at you TIKI!!!)

Final Result

I hope if the gramedia have a better deal (50% off), I would like to buy again in their platform.
